BRENDAN A. de MONTIGNY

Brendan A. de Montigny (b. Vancouver), native of Outaouais, holds a masters degree in fine arts from the University of Ottawa, an undergraduate degree from Concordia in painting and drawing with a minor in print media.

Primarily interested in drawing, painting, and performance de Montigny has exhibited at the Ottawa City Hall Art Gallery, University of Ottawa, and has performed at the AGO. His research on modernism and technological utopianism was published in the online peer-reviewed magazine Drain with Christopher E. Payne. He has taught as a sessional professor at Algonquin College, the Ottawa School of Art, and has been a guest lecturer at Carleton University, the University of Ottawa, and at Concordia University.

De Montigny is the founder and director of PDA Projects (est.2014), a contemporary mobile art gallery in Ottawa, Ontario. He has over 10 years of experience working with award-winning emerging, mid-career, and established Canadian and International artists. He is the regional director for EnMasse in Ottawa-Gatineau.
