Maryanna Hardy lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Maryanna published a 96 page book of her drawings in Nov 2010 with Conundrum press called So I’ve Been Told. The book was short listed for Montreal Expozine’s 2010 Best Canadian Book and was also shortlisted for a Doug Wright award or Best Avant Garde Comic Book.

Maryanna’s work is originally from Saskatchewan and has recently moved to Toronto after 7years in Montreal.

Maryanna has worked as an artist, illustrator and screen printer and has published her work in publications nationally and internationally. Her most recent solo show was held at 107 Shaw Gallery in Toronto. She has designed countless gig posters, and chapbooks of her drawings, built and ran a screen – printing shop in Montreal, and has painted public murals in Montreal and Toronto. In 2009 and 2010 she collaborated with the YPF Collective on their large-scale installation at the Osheaga International Music Festival in Montreal. Her work has been discussed in Jon Paul Fiorentino’s classes at Concordia University for it’s narrative qualities. Maryanna continues to work on drawing and painting projects that are a part of a continuing narrative she describes as her personal folklore.
