EN MASSE is a network of artists who are passionate about shared creativity.
Over the past decade, there have been many key administrative players who have been instrumental in giving shape to EN MASSE as it exists today, flanked by a network of artists and partners who are passionate about shared creativity.
The project draws its life from the regular introduction of new artists, administrators, techniques, and perspectives.
Jason Botkin
Co-FOUNDER/director
A graduate from the Alberta College of Art and Design in 1997 (with honors), Jason has been involved in the creation of over 200+ murals internationally since 2009, while exhibiting in solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.
Jason Wasserman
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Jason Wasserman is a born and raised Montreal artist. Obsessed with comic books and illustration from a young age, he holds a BFA from Concordia University. He has worked as a contract illustrator, painter and muralist since then. His signature style is easily recognizable by its bold, black & white comic book aesthetic with narratives heavily inspired by lowbrow art and the city of Montreal.
Brendan DeMontigny

Brendan A. de Montigny is a multidisciplinary artist, cultural connector, and curator. He holds a MFA from uOttawa, a BFA from Concordia University, and a DEC from Heritage College. He co-founded and directed the Ottawa art gallery PDA Projects from 2014-2018. He is launching a forthcoming podcast on arts in Canada, with local artist and professor Christopher Payne, called Like Art.

Rupert Bottenberg

Rupert Bottenberg is a Canadian illustrator, comic artist and writer. Bottenberg grew up in Montreal. After graduation, and many freelance jobs, he established "Comix Jams, public events centered on collaborative, improvised comic art," a concept that was picked up by many other North American cities.
Fred Caron

Fred Caron is a multidisciplinary Creative Director who builds and develops unique large scale artistic experiences. Through patience and perseverance, he has evolved around a global network of artists, curators, designers, art consultants, events, brands and production companies.
Valery Lajoie

Tim Barnard

Tim has played a vital role in co-founding and giving shape to the framework of the EM project and process. An exceptional artist — through the automatic drawing techniques of the beats and dadaists — Tim has been exonerating his consciousness from the hegemony of artificially produced commercial reality.
